The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), within its Aircraft Services (TAA) organization, is seeking an experienced Airplane Pilot to operate multi-engine turbine aircraft, such as the Pilatus PC-24, across the Pacific Northwest. This critical role supports the power grid infrastructure by transporting agency leaders and technical specialists.
About the Role
The Airplane Pilot will serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and Second-in-Command (SIC) on commuter-category turbine aircraft. Responsibilities include safely transporting BPA leadership, engineers, and essential personnel throughout the Pacific Northwest, other US regions, and into Canada. The pilot will exercise operational authority, manage flight risks by evaluating weather and systems for go/no-go decisions, and collaborate effectively within a multi-crew cockpit environment using Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles. Additionally, the role involves supporting aircraft maintenance through detailed operational write-ups, assisting with engine run-ups, and conducting functional check flights.

Must be registered with or exempt from Selective Service.

Subject to initial and random drug and alcohol testing.

May be subject to periodic physical examinations.

Must successfully complete a preliminary background check.

Must report in person to the official duty location.
Qualifications

Possession of a current FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a Multi-Engine Land class rating.

Minimum of 1,500 total flight hours.

Minimum of 100 flight hours within the last twelve (12) months.

Minimum of 250 airplane flight hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC).

Minimum of 500 flight hours in multi-engine airplanes, with at least 250 hours in multi-engine airplanes with a max gross weight greater than 12,500 pounds.

Minimum of 75 flight hours of instrument flight time, including at least 10 hours of actual Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC).

Minimum of 75 flight hours of night time.

Must hold or be able to obtain, within one year of hire, a type rating in a Pilatus PC-24.

Must possess and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Pilot Certificate must state "English Proficient."
