The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is seeking an experienced Airplane Pilot to join its Aircraft Services organization in the Pacific Northwest. This role involves flying multi-engine turbine aircraft to support critical power grid missions across the region, ensuring the reliability of vital energy infrastructure.
About the Role
As an Airplane Pilot with BPA Aircraft Services, the incumbent will operate multi-engine turbine aircraft, such as the Pilatus PC-24, serving as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and Second-in-Command (SIC). Responsibilities include safely transporting agency leaders, engineers, and technical specialists throughout the Pacific Northwest, other U.S. regions, and internationally into Canada. The pilot will exercise flight authority and operational risk management, making critical decisions regarding flight safety. Advanced multi-crew cockpit collaboration utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles is essential. The role also involves collaborating with aircraft maintenance teams to ensure fleet reliability and airworthiness through accurate operational write-ups and functional check flights.

Position requires an initial drug test prior to appointment and may be subject to random drug or drug and alcohol testing thereafter.

May be subject to periodic physical examinations if exposed to health hazards.

A preliminary background check must be completed before employment begins.
Qualifications

Possession of a current FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a Multi-Engine Land class rating is mandatory.

Minimum Flight Hour Requirements:

1,500 total flight hours.

100 flight hours within the last twelve (12) months.

250 airplane flight hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC).

500 flight hours multi-engine airplane, with at least 250 hours in multi-engine aircraft with a max gross weight greater than 12,500 pounds.

75 flight hours instrument flight time, including at least 10 hours of actual IMC (Instrument Meteorological Conditions).

75 flight hours Night time.

Must hold or be able to attain, within one year of hire, a type rating in a Pilatus PC-24.

Must possess and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Pilot Certificate must state "English Proficient".
