The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is seeking an experienced Airplane Pilot to join its Aircraft Services organization in the Pacific Northwest. This role involves flying multi-engine turbine aircraft, such as the Pilatus PC-24, to support critical power grid missions across the region.
About the Role
As an Airplane Pilot with BPA Aircraft Services, the incumbent will serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and Second-in-Command (SIC) of commuter-category turbine aircraft. Key responsibilities include transporting BPA leadership, engineers, and essential personnel safely throughout the Pacific Northwest, other U.S. regions, and internationally into Canada. The pilot will exercise operational authority, manage flight risks, evaluate conditions for route adjustments or mission continuation, and collaborate closely with maintenance teams to ensure fleet reliability and airworthiness. This position emphasizes advanced multi-crew cockpit collaboration utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles.

Position requires an initial drug test and is subject to random drug or drug and alcohol testing thereafter.

A preliminary background check must be completed.
Qualifications

Possession of a current FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a Multi-Engine Land class rating.

Minimum flight hour requirements:

1,500 total flight hours.
-
100 flight hours within the last twelve (12) months.

250 airplane flight hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC).

500 flight hours multi-engine airplane, with at least 250 hours in multi-engine airplanes with a max gross weight greater than 12,500 pounds.

75 flight hours instrument flight time, including at least 10 hours of actual Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC).

75 flight hours Night time.

Must hold or be able to attain, within one year of hire, a type rating in a Pilatus PC-24.

Must possess and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Pilot Certificate must state "English Proficient".

Must provide a copy of current ATP, medical certificate, and supporting documentation (e.g., logbook) to verify flight hour requirements.
