Bonneville Power Administration | PC-24 Pilot

The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is seeking an experienced Airplane Pilot to operate multi-engine turbine aircraft, such as the Pilatus PC-24, in support of critical power grid missions across the Pacific Northwest. This role within BPA Aircraft Services offers an opportunity to contribute to regional infrastructure reliability by transporting key agency personnel.

About the Role

As an Airplane Pilot with BPA Aircraft Services, the incumbent will serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and Second-in-Command (SIC) operating commuter-category turbine aircraft. Responsibilities include safely transporting BPA leadership, engineers, and mission-essential personnel throughout the Pacific Northwest, other regions of the United States, and internationally into Canada. The role demands the exercise of flight authority and operational risk management, including evaluating weather, route efficiency, and aircraft systems to make critical safety decisions. Advanced multi-crew cockpit collaboration using Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles is essential. Collaboration with aircraft maintenance teams, including precise operational write-ups and functional check flights, is also a key duty.

Requirements

• Requires an initial drug test prior to appointment and random drug or drug and alcohol testing thereafter.
• May be subject to periodic physical examinations.
• Requires completion of a preliminary background check.

Qualifications

• Possession of a FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a Multi-Engine Land class rating.
• Minimum Flight Hour Requirements:
  • 1,500 total flight hours.
  • 100 flight hours within the last twelve (12) months.
  • 250 airplane flight hours as Pilot-in-Command.
  • 500 flight hours multi-engine airplane, with at least 250 flight hours as multi-engine airplane with max gross weight greater than 12,500 pounds.
  • 75 flight hours instrument flight time, with at least 10 hours actual Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC).
  • 75 flight hours Night time.
• Must hold or be able to attain, within one year of hire, a type rating in a Pilatus PC-24.
• Possess and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
• Pilot Certificate must state "English Proficient".
• Subject to initial and random drug and alcohol testing.
