The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) seeks an experienced Airplane Pilot to operate multi-engine turbine aircraft, such as the Pilatus PC-24, across the Pacific Northwest. This role is based within BPA Aircraft Services and supports critical power grid missions, ensuring the reliability of the region's energy infrastructure.
About the Role
As an Airplane Pilot with BPA Aircraft Services, individuals will serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) or Second-in-Command (SIC) operating commuter-category turbine aircraft. The primary responsibility is to safely transport BPA leadership, engineers, and mission-essential personnel throughout the Pacific Northwest, other regions of the United States, and internationally into Canada. The role involves exercising flight authority, managing operational risks, and collaborating with aircraft maintenance teams to ensure fleet reliability and airworthiness.

Must abide by Selective Service registration requirements (for males).

Position requires an initial drug test prior to appointment and is subject to random drug or drug and alcohol testing thereafter.

May be subject to periodic physical examinations if exposed to health hazards.

A preliminary background check must be completed before commencing work.
Qualifications

Possession of a current FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a Multi-Engine Land class rating is a mandatory selective placement factor.

Minimum flight hour requirements:

1,500 total flight hours.

100 flight hours within the last twelve (12) months.

250 airplane flight hours as Pilot-in-Command.

500 flight hours multi-engine airplane, with at least 250 hours in multi-engine airplanes with a max gross weight greater than 12,500 pounds.

75 flight hours instrument flight time, including at least 10 hours of actual IMC (Instrument Meteorological Conditions).

75 flight hours Night time.

Must hold or be able to attain, within one year of hire, a type rating in a Pilatus PC-24.

Must possess and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Pilot Certificate must state "English Proficient".

Candidates must provide a copy of their current ATP, medical certificate, and sufficient documentation (e.g., copy of Log Book) to prove meeting all stated requirements.
