Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is seeking an accomplished Airplane Pilot to join its Aircraft Services organization in the Pacific Northwest. This role involves flying multi-engine turbine aircraft, such as the Pilatus PC-24, to support critical power grid missions and transport agency personnel across the region and internationally.
About the Role
The Airplane Pilot will operate commuter-category turbine aircraft as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and Second-in-Command (SIC). Responsibilities include transporting BPA leadership, engineers, and essential personnel throughout the Pacific Northwest, other U.S. regions, and into Canada. The pilot will exercise flight authority and operational risk management, making critical safety decisions. Advanced multi-crew cockpit collaboration is essential, utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles. The role also involves collaborating with aircraft maintenance teams by providing accurate operational write-ups and supporting fleet reliability through functional check flights.

Position requires an initial drug test prior to appointment and is subject to random drug or drug and alcohol testing thereafter.

Position may be subject to periodic physical examinations.

A preliminary background check must be completed before work can begin.
Qualifications

Possession of a FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a Multi-Engine Land class rating.

Minimum 1,500 total flight hours.

Minimum 100 flight hours within the last twelve (12) months.

Minimum 250 airplane flight hours as Pilot-in-Command.

Minimum 500 flight hours multi-engine airplane, with at least 250 multi-engine airplane hours in aircraft with a max gross weight greater than 12,500 pounds.

Minimum 75 flight hours of instrument flight time, including at least 10 hours of actual IMC.

Minimum 75 flight hours of Night time.

Must hold or be able to attain, within one year of hire, a type rating in a Pilatus PC-24.

Must possess and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Pilot Certificate must state "English Proficient".
