The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) seeks an experienced Airplane Pilot to operate multi-engine turbine aircraft, such as the Pilatus PC-24, in support of critical power grid missions across the Pacific Northwest. About the Role
The Airplane Pilot will serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and Second-in-Command (SIC) for commuter-category turbine aircraft. Responsibilities include transporting BPA leadership, engineers, and mission-essential personnel safely throughout the Pacific Northwest, other regions of the United States, and internationally into Canada. The role involves exercising flight authority, managing operational risks, evaluating weather and route efficiency, and making critical go/no-go safety decisions. Pilots will collaborate within a professional, dual-pilot crew environment utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles and will also work closely with aircraft maintenance teams to ensure fleet reliability and airworthiness through precise operational write-ups and functional check flights.

Qualifications

Possession of a current FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a Multi-Engine Land class rating.

Minimum flight hour requirements:

1,500 total flight hours.
-
100 flight hours within the last twelve (12) months.

250 airplane flight hours as Pilot-in-Command.

500 flight hours multi-engine airplane, with at least 250 multi-engine airplane hours with max gross weight greater than 12,500 pounds.

75 flight hours instrument flight time, with at least 10 hours actual IMC.

75 flight hours Night time.

Must hold or be able to attain, within one year of hire, a type rating in a Pilatus PC-24.

Must possess and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Pilot Certificate must state "English Proficient".
