The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is seeking a qualified Airplane Pilot to join its Aircraft Services (TAA) organization in the Pacific Northwest. This role involves flying multi-engine turbine aircraft to support critical power grid missions, operating under Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 91 regulations.
About the Role
The Airplane Pilot will serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and Second-in-Command (SIC) on commuter-category turbine aircraft, such as the Pilatus PC-24. The primary responsibility is to safely transport BPA leadership, engineers, and essential personnel across the Pacific Northwest, other U.S. regions, and into Canada. This position requires exercising flight authority, managing operational risks, and collaborating effectively within a multi-crew cockpit environment. The pilot will also contribute to fleet reliability by working with maintenance teams on aircraft write-ups, servicing, and functional check flights.

Subject to initial drug testing prior to appointment and random drug/alcohol testing thereafter.

Requires completion of a preliminary background check.
Qualifications

Possession of a current FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a Multi-Engine Land class rating is a mandatory selective placement factor.

Minimum Flight Hour Requirements:

1,500 total flight hours.
-
100 flight hours within the last twelve (12) months.

250 airplane flight hours as Pilot-in-Command.

500 flight hours multi-engine airplane, with at least 250 flight hours in multi-engine airplanes with a maximum gross weight greater than 12,500 pounds.

75 flight hours instrument flight time, including at least 10 hours of actual Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC).

75 flight hours Night time.

Must hold or be able to attain, within one year of hire, a type rating in a Pilatus PC-24.

Must possess and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Pilot Certificate must state "English Proficient."
