Bonneville Power Administration | PC-24 Pilot

The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is seeking an accomplished Airplane Pilot to join its Aircraft Services organization in the Pacific Northwest. This role involves flying multi-engine turbine aircraft, such as the Pilatus PC-24, to support critical power grid missions across the region.

About the Role

As an Airplane Pilot with BPA Aircraft Services, the incumbent will serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) or Second-in-Command (SIC) on commuter-category turbine aircraft. Key responsibilities include safely transporting BPA leadership, engineers, and essential personnel throughout the Pacific Northwest, other US regions, and internationally into Canada. The role demands operational authority, robust risk management, advanced multi-crew cockpit collaboration utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles, and close collaboration with aircraft maintenance for fleet reliability and airworthiness.

Requirements

• Must be a United States Citizen.
• Must abide by Selective Service registration requirements (males).
• Must be able to report in person to the official duty location.
• Subject to an initial drug test and subsequent random drug/alcohol testing.
• May be subject to periodic physical examinations if exposed to health hazards.
• Requires a preliminary background check.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must meet both individual occupational requirements and a selective placement factor (screen-out).

• Possession of a current FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a Multi-Engine Land class rating.
• Minimum Flight Hour Requirements:
  • 1,500 total flight hours.
  • 100 flight hours within the last twelve (12) months.
  • 250 airplane flight hours as Pilot-in-Command.
  • 500 flight hours multi-engine airplane, with at least 250 hours in multi-engine airplanes with a max gross weight greater than 12,500 pounds.
  • 75 flight hours instrument flight time, including at least 10 hours of actual IMC (Instrument Meteorological Conditions).
  • 75 flight hours Night time.
• Must hold or be able to attain, within one year of hire, a type rating in a Pilatus PC-24.
• Must possess and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
• Pilot Certificate must state "English Proficient".

Candidates must provide copies of their current ATP, medical certificate, and sufficient documentation (e.g., logbook copies) to verify flight hour requirements.
