The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) seeks an accomplished Airplane Pilot to join its Aircraft Services organization in the Pacific Northwest. This role involves operating multi-engine turbine aircraft to support critical power grid missions, ensuring the reliability of the region's energy infrastructure.
About the Role
The Airplane Pilot will serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and Second-in-Command (SIC) aboard commuter-category turbine aircraft, primarily operating in the Pacific Northwest and potentially across international borders. Key responsibilities include the safe transport of BPA leadership, engineers, and mission-essential personnel. The role demands exercising flight authority, managing operational risks by evaluating weather and aircraft systems, and making critical safety decisions. Advanced multi-crew cockpit collaboration, utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles, is essential for maintaining safety and flight discipline. The pilot will also collaborate with aircraft maintenance teams, providing detailed operational write-ups and assisting with post-servicing functional check flights.

Subject to an initial drug test prior to appointment and random drug or drug and alcohol testing thereafter.

Qualifications

Possession of a FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a Multi-Engine Land class rating.

Minimum 1,500 total flight hours.

100 flight hours within the last twelve (12) months.

250 airplane flight hours as Pilot-in-Command.

500 flight hours multi-engine airplane, with at least 250 flight hours in multi-engine airplanes with a max gross weight greater than 12,500 pounds.

75 flight hours instrument flight time, including at least 10 hours of actual IMC.

75 flight hours Night time.

Must hold or be able to attain, within one year of hire, a type rating in a Pilatus PC-24.

Must possess and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Pilot Certificate must state "English Proficient".
