The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is seeking an accomplished Airplane Pilot for its Aircraft Services organization in the Pacific Northwest. This role involves piloting multi-engine turbine aircraft, such as the Pilatus PC-24, to support critical power grid missions across the region.
About the Role
As an Airplane Pilot with BPA Aircraft Services, the incumbent will serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and Second-in-Command (SIC) operating commuter-category turbine aircraft. Responsibilities include transporting BPA leadership, engineers, and mission-essential personnel throughout the Pacific Northwest, other regions of the United States, and internationally into Canada. The role requires exercising flight authority, managing operational risk, evaluating conditions for mission continuation, diversion, or termination, and actively participating in advanced multi-crew cockpit collaboration utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles. Collaboration with aircraft maintenance teams to ensure fleet reliability and airworthiness, including providing operational write-ups and conducting functional check flights, is also a key aspect of this position.

Qualifications

Possession of a current FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a Multi-Engine Land class rating.

Minimum Flight Hour Requirements:

1,500 total flight hours.
-
100 flight hours within the last twelve (12) months.

250 airplane flight hours as Pilot-in-Command.

500 flight hours multi-engine airplane, with at least 250 multi-engine airplane hours in aircraft with a max gross weight greater than 12,500 pounds.

75 flight hours instrument flight time, including at least 10 hours actual IMC.

75 flight hours Night time.

Must hold or be able to attain, within one year of hire, a type rating in a Pilatus PC-24.

Must possess and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Pilot Certificate must state "English Proficient".
