The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is seeking an experienced Airplane Pilot to join its Aircraft Services team in the Pacific Northwest. This role involves flying multi-engine turbine aircraft, such as the Pilatus PC-24, to support critical power grid missions across the region.
About the Role
The Airplane Pilot will serve as a Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and Second-in-Command (SIC) operating commuter-category turbine aircraft. Key responsibilities include transporting BPA leadership, engineers, and mission-essential personnel safely throughout the Pacific Northwest, other regions of the United States, and internationally into Canada. The pilot will exercise operational authority, manage flight risks by evaluating weather and systems, and make critical safety decisions. Advanced multi-crew cockpit collaboration utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles is essential. The role also involves collaborating with aircraft maintenance by providing operational write-ups, assisting with ground operations, and conducting functional check flights.

Qualifications

Possession of a current FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a Multi-Engine Land class rating.

Minimum flight hour requirements:

1,500 total flight hours.

100 flight hours within the last 12 months.

250 airplane flight hours as Pilot-in-Command.

500 flight hours multi-engine airplane, with at least 250 multi-engine airplane hours in aircraft with a max gross weight greater than 12,500 pounds.

75 flight hours instrument flight time, including at least 10 hours of actual IMC.

75 flight hours Night time.

Must hold or be able to attain, within one year of hire, a type rating in a Pilatus PC-24.

Must possess and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate.

Pilot Certificate must state "English Proficient".
