About the Role
Bombardier Flight Operations is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Test Pilot to join its esteemed Challenger Flight Test team in Montreal. This pivotal role offers an immediate opening for a dedicated professional to contribute to the rigorous validation and optimal performance of Bombardier's state-of-the-art Challenger aircraft fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive production ground and flight tests to rigorously validate aircraft airworthiness and performance standards.
- Execute professional demonstration flights for prospective customers, effectively showcasing aircraft capabilities and operational excellence.
- Perform Customer Acceptance flights, ensuring meticulous adherence to delivery standards and customer satisfaction.
- Undertake Ferry flights as required, ensuring safe and efficient aircraft transit across various locations.
- Manage all pre-flight and post-flight activities with meticulous attention to detail and strict regulatory compliance.
- Provide essential support to weekend schedules for extended periods, demonstrating a commitment to operational demands and flexibility.
- Offer dedicated support to the Bombardier Flight Test Center as operational needs dictate, contributing to broader team objectives.
- Conduct thorough reviews of operational manuals, technical documentation, and other critical aviation-related materials.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Possession of a valid Canadian Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) and a current Class 1 medical certificate.
- A minimum of 3,500 hours of total flight time, including at least 500 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on large multi-engine aircraft.
- Demonstrated flexibility to accommodate irregular work hours and undertake travel on short notice.
- Legally entitled to work and reside in Canada is a mandatory requirement.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration within a professional aviation environment.
- Proven ability to excel and contribute effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Capability to proficiently execute the duties of an aircraft commander while maintaining positive and cooperative relationships with crew members and management.
- A demonstrated capacity to manage stressful situations effectively and maintain composure under pressure.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Highly Valued Assets
- Previous flight test experience or a robust technical background in aircraft certification or flight training.
- Possession of a valid U.S. Airline Transport Pilot License (ATP) is considered a significant advantage.
