Bombardier Flight Operations, a global leader in aerospace innovation, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pilot, Captain to join its distinguished Challenger Flight Test team in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will play a critical role within the Challenger Flight Test team, executing a diverse range of flight operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting production ground and flight tests to rigorously validate aircraft airworthiness.
- Performing demonstration flights for potential customers, showcasing aircraft capabilities and performance.
- Executing Customer Acceptance flights, ensuring client satisfaction and smooth delivery.
- Undertaking Ferry flights as required to support operational needs.
- Meticulously carrying out comprehensive pre-flight and post-flight activities.
- Providing support for the weekend schedule during extended periods, as operational demands necessitate.
- Potentially supporting operations at the Bombardier Flight Test Center.
- Conducting thorough reviews of operational manuals and other critical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications and Experience
To thrive in this challenging yet rewarding position, candidates must demonstrate a robust skill set and extensive experience:
Licensing & Medical
- Possession of a valid Canadian Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- A current Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate.
Flight Experience
- A minimum of 3,500 hours of total flight time.
- At least 500 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time on large multi-engine aircraft.
Operational & Technical Skills
- Demonstrated flexibility to work irregular hours and to travel on short notice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive team and management relationships.
- Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Exceptional capability to execute the duties of an aircraft commander, maintaining professionalism and cooperation with both crew and management.
- A proven ability to manage and perform effectively in stressful situations.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Assets
- Previous flight test experience or a strong technical background in aircraft certification or training is a definite asset.
- Possession of a valid U.S. Airline Transport Pilot License (ATP) is considered an asset.
Eligibility
- Possession of the legal right to live and work in Canada is a mandatory requirement for this position.
