Bombardier Flight Operations is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pilot, Captain to join its Montreal Challenger Flight Test team. Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in various aspects of flight operations, including:
- Conducting comprehensive production ground and flight tests to rigorously validate the airworthiness of aircraft.
- Performing professional demonstration flights for potential customers, effectively showcasing aircraft capabilities and performance.
- Executing Customer Acceptance flights, ensuring a seamless transition and client satisfaction.
- Undertaking Ferry flights as required to support operational needs.
- Managing all pre-flight and post-flight activities with meticulous attention to detail and adherence to procedures.
- Providing essential support for the weekend schedule for extended periods, demonstrating commitment to operational continuity.
- Contributing to operations at the Bombardier Flight Test Center as needed.
- Reviewing and assessing critical manuals and other relevant documentation to maintain operational excellence.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates are expected to possess a robust background in aviation, demonstrating both technical proficiency and leadership capabilities:
- Possession of a valid Canadian Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) and a Class 1 medical certificate is mandatory.
- A minimum of 3,500 hours of total flight time, with at least 500 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on large multi-engine aircraft.
- Demonstrated flexibility to accommodate irregular work hours and undertake travel with short notice.
- The legal right to work and reside in Canada is a prerequisite for this position.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive and cooperative relationships with crew members, management, and customers.
- Proven ability to thrive and contribute effectively within a dynamic team environment.
- A steadfast capacity to execute the duties of an aircraft commander while consistently maintaining a positive and cooperative relationship with the crew and management.
- A strong aptitude for managing high-stress situations effectively and professionally.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Desired Attributes (Assets)
- Previous flight test experience or a strong technical background in aircraft certification or pilot training will be considered a significant advantage.
- Possession of a valid US Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license is an asset.
