Boeing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Engagement Pilot to join its dedicated team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Global Engagement Pilot will engage with a diverse array of industry professionals, including pilots, managers, regulators, executives, peers, and subject matter experts, in a high-visibility capacity.
The Role
The Global Engagement Pilot operates as a key member of the Pilot Services Team, which is instrumental in fostering extensive customer engagement aimed at enhancing flight operations safety and optimizing the utilization of Boeing products. This role serves as a crucial representative of The Boeing Company within industry and regulatory forums.
The position involves occasional duties as Pilot-in-Command on flights and deployments to customer sites in an instructor capacity. Candidates must possess an FAA ATP or EASA ATPL, or an equivalent international license, coupled with extensive airline training experience. This is a hybrid position, requiring some onsite work, and involves significant international travel, approximately 50% of the time.
Position Responsibilities
- Cultivates and maintains robust relationships and partnerships with critical industry stakeholders, regulatory authorities, industry bodies, peers, partners, and direct reports.
- Secures necessary resources for projects and processes, provides technical oversight to suppliers, and champions continuous process improvements.
- Develops and executes comprehensive project and process plans, implements established policies and procedures, and defines operational goals.
- Manages and conducts activities pertaining to familiarization, qualification, standardization, as well as flight and ground instruction for both company and customer aircrew.
- Upholds the highest standards of crew resource management during all aircraft operations.
- Oversees, mentors, develops, and evaluates pilots undertaking aircrew duties, encompassing all preparatory activities and the execution of safe flight operations.
- Operates Boeing and customer aircraft proficiently as Pilot in Command and as an Instructor.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- Demonstrated experience in presenting effectively to all levels of management.
- Possession of a current FAA ATP or EASA ATPL, or an equivalent international pilot license.
- Holds a current FAA or EASA First Class Medical certificate, or an international equivalent.
- Minimum of 5,000 hours total flight time in a public transport category aircraft.
- Minimum of 1,000 hours of flight instructor time.
- Current type rating on Boeing B737, B787, or B777 aircraft.
- Extensive experience as an FAA Part 121 Airline Instructor Pilot and/or Line Check Airman, or an equivalent international certification.
- Ability to possess or obtain a valid passport and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.
- Proven international and transoceanic flight experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Previous management experience.
