Pilot Recruitment Opportunity: Junior First Officer (JFO) – Blue Islands

Blue Islands is actively seeking highly qualified and motivated candidates to join its flight operations team. Minimum Candidate Requirements

Candidates interested in this critical operational role must satisfy the following strict criteria. The application process requires proof of all specified licenses and flight hours.

  • Total Flight Time: A minimum of 250 flight hours.
  • Multi-Engine Experience: A minimum of 50 hours flown on multi-engine aircraft.
  • Licensing Authority: Applicants must hold a current UK CAA issued license.
  • Required Licenses/Ratings: Possession of a valid Frozen ATPL, Instrument Rating (IR), Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) certificate, and Multi-Engine (ME) rating.
  • Medical Certification: A current Class 1 Medical Certificate is mandatory.
  • English Language Proficiency (ELP): Must demonstrate ICAO ELP Level 4 or higher.

Specific Operational and Experience Notes

Applicants should note the following specialized requirements and operational considerations:

  • Specific Flight Experience: The candidate is expected to possess command experience on aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) exceeding 10,000kg.
  • Type Rating: A Type Rating is not an essential requirement, as comprehensive Type Rating training will be provided to the selected candidate.
  • Preference: Preference will be afforded to applicants who are already type rated for ATR aircraft.
  • Security Checks: All candidates must be able to provide verifiable references to successfully pass a rigorous five-year background and criminal record check.
