About the Role

British Airways, the United Kingdom's flag carrier airline, is seeking a Direct Entry Senior First Officer to join its flight crew in the UK. This role focuses on delivering an exceptional flight experience for every passenger, maintaining world-class flying standards, and embracing the daily challenges of a commercial pilot. Requirements

• Current type rating with a minimum of 3000 hours on a relevant aeroplane type (simulator time excluded).
• Flying experience on a relevant aeroplane type within the past 12 months.
• Possession of a UK Part-FCL licence (ATPL(A) or meeting the hours requirements to obtain an ATPL(A)).
• Valid UK issued CAA Class 1 medical certificate with at least 6 months of validity remaining from the date of joining.
• Height between 1.57m (5'2") and 1.91m (6'3"). Applications from pilots taller than 1.91m will be considered, subject to a functionality check.
• Good level of physical fitness.
• Spoken and written English at ICAO level 6.
• Valid passport with a minimum of 12 months before the expiry date.
• The right to live and work in the UK, or the ability to obtain a Skilled Worker Visa sponsored by British Airways.
• Ability to comply with British Airways' uniform standards, with tattoos permissible if not on the hands, face, or head.
• Ability to swim 50m (55 yards), tread water for 3 minutes, and assist others in water, including fitting a lifejacket and self-rescue from water.

Qualifications

• UK Part-FCL ATPL(A) or meet the required hours for ATPL(A) acquisition.
• A relevant aeroplane type rating. Note: The current type rating does not need to be on your UK licence, but you must hold a UK fATPL(A)/ATPL(A).
• Relevant aeroplane type definition includes multi-pilot turbo-jet aircraft certified to CS-25 standards or equivalent, or multi-pilot turbo-prop aircraft with a maximum take-off mass of not less than 10 tonnes or seating configuration for more than 19 passengers.
