Loganair | ATR42/72 Captain

Loganair is seeking experienced Direct Entry Captains for its UK-based operations across various fleets. The Captain will assume full responsibility for the safe and secure operation of the aircraft, its crew, and passengers.

About the Role

This position involves overseeing all aspects of aircraft operation, making critical decisions during normal and non-normal situations, and leading the flight crew with a strong emphasis on professionalism and safety culture. The Captain will set an example in communication and adherence to procedures.

Requirements

• Full ATPL (UK CAA) with a current Class 1 Medical.
• Recent or current experience operating a multi-crew aircraft (MTOW >10t or 19+ passengers).
• Comprehensive understanding of aviation regulations, safety practices, and flight operations.
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure and make timely, sound decisions.
• Proven teamwork and leadership capabilities.
• Legal right to live and work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Minimum 500 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.
• Preferred turbine time of 500 hours.

Type Rating Considerations

• Direct entry is offered for non-type-rated candidates.
• Desirable: Valid ERJ 145 or ATR 42/72 Type Rating.

Specific Type Rating Criteria:

• For Embraer (ERJ 145): 500 hours Pilot-in-Command on a jet multi-crew aircraft (MTOW >10t or 19+ seats) within a passenger Commercial Air Transport Operation.
• For ATR (ATR 42/72): 500 hours Pilot-in-Command on a turboprop aircraft (MTOW >10t or 19+ seats) within a passenger Commercial Air Transport Operation.
