FAR Part 135 Multi-Engine Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
Seeking a highly qualified and safety-focused Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) to execute complex flight operations in demanding domestic and OCONUS (Outside Continental U.S.) environments. The successful candidate must demonstrate expert knowledge of FAA regulations, exceptional Crew Resource Management (CRM) skills, and strict adherence to Part 135 operational requirements. This role demands professionalism, adaptability, and an unwavering commitment to operational safety and mission completion.
Key Responsibilities
The Pilot is entrusted with mission execution, operational planning, and regulatory compliance, including the following duties:
- Conduct comprehensive flight planning, obtaining critical data related to mission objectives, meteorological conditions, standard operating procedures, and specific instructions.
- Develop accurate flight plans, rigorously assessing variables such as altitude, terrain, prevailing weather, fuel range, aircraft weight and balance, cruise control parameters, airport capabilities, and required navigational aids.
- Ensure all flight releases strictly comply with FAR Part 135 guidelines, confirming that requisite legal and safety documentation is securely aboard the aircraft prior to departure.
- Verify the completion of mandatory airworthiness inspections and confirm that any existing discrepancies have been rectified or properly deferred according to the specific Minimum Equipment List (MEL), where applicable.
- Execute thorough preflight inspections and preparation procedures, including the mandatory completion of a documented risk assessment for every flight segment flown.
- Successfully complete assigned missions, strictly adhering to scheduled timelines, defined routes of flight, and documented load manifests as directed by the company or customer.
- Champion Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles among all crew members, ensuring detailed briefings cover flight specifics, modifications to original plans, changes in passenger/cargo loads, aircraft status, and the prevailing operating environment.
- Maintain consistent and professional communication with on-site management regarding any issues impacting the safety of flight, aircraft maintenance status, life support requirements, customer service concerns, or personnel matters.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Possession of a valid FAA Multi-Engine Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- Maintain a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Hold a current U.S. Passport valid for at least six (6) additional months at all times.
- A minimum of 1,500 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) flight time.
- A minimum of 500 hours of PIC multi-engine flight time.
- Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the Secret level.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Total flight experience exceeding 3,000 hours.
- A minimum of 1,200 hours of multi-engine turbine-time.
- Documented professional experience in aerial delivery operations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Night Vision Goggle (NVG) operations.
- Currently hold an active U.S. Security Clearance at the Secret level.
- A minimum of one year of experience serving as a Pilot under FAR Part 135 regulations.
- At least one year of government contracting experience within OCONUS (Outside Continental U.S.) austere or challenging operational locations.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
The incumbent must be capable of fulfilling the following physical demands required to perform the essential functions of the job:
- The incumbent must be physically capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Ability to effectively perform demanding aircraft piloting duties for shifts up to ten (10) hours per day.
- Willingness to work outdoors and be exposed to a wide range of weather conditions, including but not limited to extreme heat, cold, and adverse weather environments.
