AW139 Helicopter Pilot - Critical Services

Babcock Australasia is seeking expressions of interest from qualified AW139 Helicopter Pilots to join its Aviation & Critical Services team. This full-time, touring opportunity supports a Queensland Health operation on Horn Island, undertaking medical transport and emergency service operations. The role operates on a 15-day on, 13-day off roster pattern.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct flying operations in support of critical services.
  • Operate within a touring roster pattern.
  • Deploy to other Babcock locations to support operations as required.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • AW139 type rating with 100+ hours command on type.
  • CASA Commercial Pilot Licence (Helicopter) - ATPL(H) preferred.
  • Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • Instrument Rating with Multi-Engine Helicopter (MEH) endorsement and a minimum of 3 renewals.
  • 2,500+ hours total helicopter flight time.
  • 1,500+ hours Pilot in Command (PIC) helicopter flight time.
  • 1,200 hours turbine helicopter flight time.
  • 100+ hours night PIC flight time.
  • Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) rating.
  • Low-level rating with winch endorsement.
  • Eligibility to obtain an appropriate level of Commonwealth Personnel Security Clearance.
  • Compliance with US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the AU Defence Trade Controls Act 2012 will be assessed.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • B412 type rating with 100+ hours command on type.
  • H145 type rating with 100+ hours command on type.
