In Spain, we manage air emergency medical services (EMS), air search and rescue (SAR) and air firefighting operations. We operate from 90 bases across the country and provide a complete service for our regional government customers, including our highly experienced air medical personnel, pilots and aeronautical engineers.

About the role

We are currently inviting applications from qualified EC135 HEMS CO-PILOT . The opportunity is for an EC135 HEMS Co-Pilot to fill a permanent vacancy.

Babcock’s fleet of medical helicopters and aircraft travel quickly and safely to assist in accidents and provide emergency transport between hospitals.

On average, we perform more than 83,000 EMS missions a year and are the only operator in Spain, Italy and Portugal to run medical bases that are operational 24/7.

About You

The successful candidate must satisfy the following contract minimum qualifications and experience:

  • ATPL (H) license or approved ATPL (H) theorical knowledge and the requirements met to be able to take the skill test.
  • IR (H)
  • 500 flight hours.
  • Language profiency level 4 or higher in Spanish and English.
  • Class 1 medical examination in force.

In addition, compliance with the following requirements will be assessed:

  • EC135/IR/MP qualification in force or expired less than 3 years.
  • 70 hours of PIC/PICUS
  • MCC course.
  • IR associated with a rating.
  • Have a MultiEngine helicopter rating endorsed.
  • HEMS experience.
  • Have conducted LCI campaigns.
  • B212/412 qualification
