Job Description

Overview
This position will serve business corporate travel as well as personal family travel. Captains are directly responsible for the safe conduct of the flight to which they are assigned. Captains are the most visible representative to the passengers and must act with tact and decorum while ensuring a safe and punctual operation. When assigned as Pilot in Command (PIC) for a trip, the PIC assumes responsibility for the aircraft and crew, and is operationally responsible to the Chief Pilot. When assigned as Second in Command to another PIC, this Captain is operationally responsible to the designated PIC for that trip. These relationships remain in effect, regardless of which pilot is flying the aircraft or which pilot seat is occupied.

Responsibilities

Position Profile:

  • Maintain aircraft in safe condition and in compliance with governmental regulations.
  • Keep instrument approach procedure electronics up to date.
  • Reviews status and recommends changes to aircraft and equipment to the Chief Pilot for consideration.
  • Cooperates in establishment of flight schedules and files flight plans as necessary.
  • Makes key decision on flight cancellations and/or routings as determined by weather conditions or other factors to provide maximum safety and comfort to passengers.
  • Manages flight decisions to fly company personnel, guests and materials within safe capacity of aircraft.
  • As Captain provides safe and courteous service to passengers.
  • Performs other duties related to transportation of materials and passengers on company aircraft including pre-flight preparation and inspection.
  • Ensures strict compliance with BISSELL Inc. Flight Operation Manual.
  • Maintain up-to-date training, testing, and certifications as required by the government and FAA.
  • Stay current and comply with all government and FAA rules, regulations, and requirements.
  • Stay current with new technology and state-of-the-art electronics for safety, efficiency and comfort of the passengers and aircraft.
  • Responsible to maintain adequate supplies for the aircraft and hangar.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

  • Degree minimum: BS / BA in Aviation Management/Flight Technology, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
  • Specific concentration: Aviation strongly preferred
  • Aircraft Specific training
  • Experience level:
  • 4000+ hours flight time
  • 1000+ hours turbine multi-engine
  • 500+ hours turbine multi-engine PIC
  • International Flight Experience a plus
  • Current Passport

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

  • Challenger 300/350 Type Related (will provide training on aircraft for right candidate)
  • ATP, type rating in company aircraft
  • First Class Certificate (Medical)
  • 5000+ hours flight time
  • 2000+ hours turbine multi-engine
  • 1000+ hours turbine multi-engine PIC
  • International Flight Experience preferred
