Role Overview:

The Captain is a pivotal role within BA Cityflyer, directly contributing to the exceptional flight experience of both business and leisure customers traveling to the heart of London. The successful candidate will work within a cohesive team to deliver a dynamic operation, providing a service that operates seven days a week. The work will include business, charter, and leisure flights, with a varied roster encompassing day trips, night stops, and tours.

The Captain will operate the Embraer 190 into London City Airport, an airport with one of the world's most challenging operating environments. Due to this demanding environment, the highest professional standards are required at all times. They are seeking pilots driven to provide industry-leading customer service within this exciting and demanding setting. Minimum Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Possession of a current UK CAA Part-FCL license ATPL(A), or the ability to convert to a UK license via CAA EASA transfer process route 5 or 6.
  • A current type rating with a minimum of 4000 total flight hours, which must include at least 1500 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) of a commercial jet/turbo-prop multi-crew aircraft. PICUS hours are not included in the 1500 hour PIC requirement.
  • ICAO English language proficiency level 6.
  • A valid Multi-Engine Instrument Rating.
  • A valid Class 1 Medical (valid for 6 months after the date of joining).
  • An E-Jet type rating is desirable but not essential.
  • Current operation as a Captain is desirable.
