Avera McKennan Hospital | Pilot

JOB SUMMARY: This position will float to all Careflight bases/locations. The Fixed Wing Pilot is a licensed fixed wing pilot who is assigned and orientated to the Careflight program. The pilot is responsible for flying fixed wing missions requested by Avera McKennan. The pilot is directly responsible for all operations pertaining to the safe and efficient conduct of the flight from initial dispatch until termination of the flight. Must have a good working knowledge of the company Operations Manual, Federal Aviation Regulations, Operations Specifications, Aircraft Flight Manual and any other requirements pertinent to specific flights. Must demonstrate interdisciplinary skills when working with team members. Must have effective critical thinking skills to problem solve and immediately respond to changing environments.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Required to have a minimum of 1,500 flight hours.
  
  CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS:
  
• Required to have and maintain a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Commercial Certificate and instrument rating valid for multi-engine land or an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate valid for multi-engine land.
• Successful completion of a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screening is required.
• An Airline Transport Pilot rating is preferred.
