Position Overview
Arkansas State University, Department of Psychology and Counseling, is seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time, in-person Instructor of Psychology. This position is scheduled to commence in August 2026. The university welcomes applications from candidates with a diverse range of specializations, provided they possess the requisite training and experience to effectively teach undergraduate courses in Introduction to Psychology and Abnormal Psychology.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruct undergraduate students in Introduction to Psychology.
- Instruct undergraduate students in Abnormal Psychology.
- Potentially teach other departmental courses based on candidate specialization and institutional need.
- Fulfill a standard 5/5 teaching load.

Work Schedule and Location
- Standard work hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Availability for additional hours as required.
- Consistent and reliable attendance is expected.
- This is an on-campus position located in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- A Master's degree or higher in Psychology, conferred by the position start date.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience at the college or university level.
