Aviation Captain - Part 135 Cargo Operations
A distinguished Part 135 cargo airline is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aviation Captain to join its professional flight crew. This critical role involves operating challenging cargo flights, contributing to the efficient and safe transportation of goods within a dynamic air cargo network.
Key Responsibilities & Operational Overview
The Aviation Captain will be responsible for safe and compliant flight operations, adhering strictly to Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Part 135. Typical weekly flight operations include:
- Monday: Afternoon repositioning flight to SBA, followed by a revenue flight returning to BUR.
- Tuesday - Friday: Morning flights typically cover SMX/SBP overflow. Afternoon operations involve repositioning to SBA for a scheduled PM flight to BUR. If not required for overflow, the Captain will reposition to SBA in the afternoon.
- Saturday: Morning flight to SBA, concluding with a non-revenue repositioning flight back to BUR.
Minimum Qualifications
Prospective candidates must demonstrate exceptional aeronautical proficiency and possess the following comprehensive qualifications:
- Total Flight Time: A minimum of 1,800 hours.
- Pilot In Command (PIC) Time: At least 1,000 hours.
- Cross-Country (XC) Time: A minimum of 500 hours, defined as point-to-point flight.
- Multi-Engine Land Time: A minimum of 250 hours.
- Turbine Time: At least 100 hours.
- Instrument Time: A minimum of 100 hours, with at least 50 hours conducted in an aircraft.
- Night Time: A minimum of 100 hours.
- Regulatory Compliance: Must fully meet the requirements of FAR 135.243(c) for Pilot In Command operations in Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) conditions.
- Experience: Prior experience as Pilot In Command in multi-turbine aircraft is a mandatory requirement.
