Instructor, Ground Operations Training
American Airlines is seeking a dynamic and experienced Instructor, Ground Operations Training to join its Airport and Cargo Divisions. This role offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact team members through expert facilitation of training courses, development of engaging content, and dedicated mentorship. The successful candidate will contribute to the continuous development and operational excellence of American Airlines' ground operations personnel.
Responsibilities

Facilitate American Airlines ground operations training programs.

Engage, develop, and guide learners, fostering a positive and productive learning environment.

Communicate with clarity and empathy, creating an inclusive atmosphere for all participants.

Provide effective and timely feedback to enhance course facilitation and content quality.

Collaborate with colleagues across the training organization on diverse projects.

Maintain accurate records of training activities and materials.

Support and participate in special projects and new training initiatives.

Develop and maintain productive relationships with airport and corporate leadership.

Travel extensively, both domestically and internationally, to conduct training and provide support.

Work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience.

Two years of experience in an airport environment with knowledge of ramp operations or equivalent experience.

Previous experience in classroom facilitation and management.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Mainline ramp experience.

Mainline operations or control center experience.

Proficient understanding of adult learning principles.

Proficiency with relevant software and programs for ramp and control center operations, including RampLink+, SABRE, DECS, GET, and Realtime.
