Allegiant | First Officer

Allegiant is seeking a qualified First Officer to serve as second in command and perform flight duties alongside the Captain. About the Role

The First Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of Allegiant's flights. Responsibilities include assisting the Captain with all aspects of flight operations, from pre-flight checks to post-flight duties. This position requires a strong understanding of aviation procedures, adherence to safety protocols, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the flight crew and maintain Allegiant’s high standards of customer service.

Requirements

• Authorization to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986.
• Successful completion of a Criminal Background Check.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• FAA Commercial multi-engine land certificate with an instrument rating and English proficiency.
• ATP-CTP course completion certificate and current ATP written completion.
• All aeronautical experience required for an FAA ATP or R-ATP Certificate in accordance with 14 CFR §§ 61.153, 61.159, & 61.160.
• FAA First Class Medical Certificate with First Class privileges.
• FCC Radiotelephone License.
• All required documentation for the issuance of an ATP or R-ATP Certificate.
• Valid/Unexpired Passport Book.
• Valid/Unexpired Driver's License.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English to receive instructions, ensure safety, and interact with customers.

Minimum Flight Hour Experience

• 1,500 total flight hours.
• 1,250 total flight hours (if eligible).
• 1,000 total flight hours (if eligible).
• 750 total flight hours (if eligible).

Minimum Aeronautical Experience (Actual Flight Hours)

• 500 hours of fixed-wing flight time.
• 200 hours of cross-country flight time.
• 100 hours of night flight time.
• 25 hours of multi-engine land flight time.
• 75 hours of instrument flight time (actual and simulated).
• 250 hours of flight time in an airplane as pilot in command (PIC).
• 100 hours of cross-country flight time as PIC.
• 25 hours of night flight time as PIC.
• Note: Up to 25 hours of multi-engine flight time accrued under an approved Allegiant training program may count towards ATP Certificate requirements.
• All aeronautical experience must be logged in accordance with 14 § CFR 61.51. Military flight records may be used as additional evidence.
• Allegiant does not accept conversion of flight hours from other aircraft types (e.g., rotorcraft).

Preferred Qualifications

• FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) multi-engine land certificate (restricted or unrestricted).
• 3,000 total flight hours.
• 1,000 hours turbine under FAA Part 121.
• Bachelor's degree.
• 500 hours flown within the last 12 months.
