About the Role
The Flight Attendant position is integral to Allegiant Air's operations, serving as the primary point of contact for passengers. Responsibilities encompass ensuring the security, safety, and comfort of all customers throughout their journey. This includes conducting pre-boarding security checks, performing safety checks of the cabin, attending to passenger needs, and effectively communicating travel-related information. Additionally, Flight Attendants are responsible for accurately accounting for passengers, promoting the sale of onboard products and services, and completing necessary administrative reports. The role demands adherence to stringent government regulations and company policies, which are thoroughly covered during initial and recurrent training.

Minimum of 21 years of age.

Ability to perform all job functions as needed.

Willingness to attend a minimum of 4.5 weeks of training in Las Vegas, including sharing accommodation.

Relocation to domicile after training, if required, is at the applicant's expense.

Must be able to react quickly with good judgment.

Ability to walk comfortably down an aircraft aisle.

Capability to rapidly maneuver and fit through aircraft overwing exits.

Ability to fit into a jump seat harness without modification or extension.

Capability to quickly and efficiently sit down and fasten seatbelts with urgency.

Basic computer skills and comfort using a tablet (e.g., iPad).

Names on all required forms of identification must match.

Ability to read, write, and speak English to understand instructions, ensure safety, and interact with customers.

Punctuality and reliable attendance are essential.

Ability to present a professional image, including a neat and well-groomed appearance.

Must be able to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands/fingers to operate aircraft equipment.

May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 100 lbs.

May be required to work various shifts in a 24-hour period.

Ability to work in a confined area and sit at a computer terminal for extended periods.

Travel is a requirement of the role.

Will be required to report to work during national and state emergencies as an essential service provider.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum of one (1) year of direct customer service experience.

Previous flight attendant experience is preferred.

Training

Successful completion of a 4.5-week minimum new hire training program with a minimum of 5 hours of Initial Operating Experience.

Trainees must maintain a 90% or above average on all exams and successfully perform physical requirements, including emergency/evacuation drills.

Participation in water emergency training is required.

Class hours may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Employment is offered upon successful completion of the training program.

Trainees receive a daily per diem to cover miscellaneous expenses.

Recurrent and ongoing training is required.
