F-16 Block 40 Simulator & Academic Training Instructor

A skilled and experienced professional is sought to serve as an F-16 Block 40 Simulator and Academic Training Instructor at Kunsan Air Base, South Korea. This critical position directly supports the PACAF's SIP program, holding responsibility for executing all aspects of academic and simulator training for F-16 Block 40 pilots, as specified by the Performance Work Statement.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts comprehensive academic training sessions covering Cockpit/Crew Resource Management (CRM), Instrument Refresher Course (IRC), Theater Indoctrination (TI), Local Area Orientation (LAO), Mission Qualification Training (MQT), and Upgrade Training.
- Provides simulator training utilizing the Mission Training Center (MTC) in support of PACAF pilot training objectives.
- Delivers instruction on basic MTC console operation.
- Instructs while simultaneously operating the MTC console.
- Offers direct and supportive instruction, including "over the shoulder" guidance and instructing while actively participating in simulator flight scenarios.
- Maintains accurate training and evaluation records for each trainee, detailing individual training progression, certifications, and qualifications (specifically documenting on AF Form 8 for MTCI/CIP).
- Ensures documentation of instructor proficiency training updates related to Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), equipment, software, and systems following any modifications.
Qualifications:
- Possesses current operational flight experience obtained within the last eight years, unless currently performing similar aircrew instruction duties.
- Holds previous fighter aircraft experience in types such as AV-8, A-10, F-15, F-16, F/A-18, F-22A, F-35, or a compatible platform, specifically with an instructor designation (indicated by a "K" prefix).
- Qualified to perform AF Form 8 Certified Instructor duties within the MTC weapon system, demonstrating expertise in current tactics and employment standards.
- Capable of flying the simulator in a 2 or 4-ship flight lead capacity, applying current tactics and employment standards effectively.
- Maintains currency in required ground training areas (e.g., IRC, CRM) and meets the physical qualifications necessary to perform the assigned duties.
- Must be a United States citizen and be eligible for a current Secret security clearance. Dual citizenship is not permitted.
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Distributed Mission Operations (DMO).
