First Officer - Boeing 737
Airwork Fixed Wing (AFW), a division of the Airwork Group of Companies, is New Zealand's largest freighter aviation business operating the Boeing 737. As industry-leading experts in fixed-wing flight operations, AFW is seeking experienced First Officers to join their dynamic team in Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, or Melbourne.
Responsibilities:
The First Officer will play a vital role in upholding the highest standards of safety and efficiency in all flight operations. Key duties include:
- Executing all tasks related to the operation of the aircraft.
- Safely operating the aircraft in flight, ensuring the safety and well-being of the crew and the security of cargo.
- Adhering to all Civil Aviation Rules and regulations as outlined in the Flight Operations Exposition.
- Diligently reporting all incidents or accidents, adhering to all reporting requirements.
- Meticulously completing all company records related to flights.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate possesses a strong combination of technical expertise and professional attributes:
- Australian Airline Transport Pilot License.
- New Zealand Pilot License.
- New Zealand Class 1 Medical Certificate (prior to induction).
- Permanent right to reside and work in Australia.
- Minimum 1500 hours of total flying experience. Prior B737 experience is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
- Strong teamwork orientation and a collaborative approach.
