Aviation Maintenance Instructor/Courseware Developer - P-8A Poseidon
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA), one of the largest Defence companies in Australia, is seeking highly skilled and motivated individuals to join its team at RAAF Base Edinburgh, SA. This exciting opportunity centers around the development and delivery of courseware and instruction for the P-8A Poseidon Maintenance Training program.
The Role:
This critical role encompasses vital instructional delivery and courseware development activities, supporting both the sustainment and emerging needs of the P-8A Maintenance training program.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver P-8A Aircraft Systems, Basic Core Maintenance, Safety Familiarisation, and Engine Operator courses for ongoing sustainment activities.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job training for emerging P-8A fleet support.
- Analyze lesson framework needs and design maintenance training solutions and products aligned with P-8A Aircraft capability requirements.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of developed training programs.
- Offer subject matter expertise in developing courseware that meets Boeing Defence Australia and Defence Aviation Safety Regulatory (DASR) requirements, primarily for Maintenance, but also potentially including Pilot and Mission Crew training materials.
- Conduct continuous improvement tasks on existing courseware.
- Explore the development and piloting of new courses, innovative processes, and technologies in collaboration with P-8A Platform stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical).
- Experience on the P-8A or B737NG with a B1 MAML or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years of Avionics Maintenance (B1) experience.
Desirable Requirements:
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAE 40116) or equivalent (BDA will support the right candidate in achieving this qualification).
- Previous experience as a P-8A instructor, mentor, or supervisor.
