This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced pilot to assume the role of Pilot in Command within a Part 135 operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of all assigned flights, exercising operational control at the Tier 2 level as defined in Chapter 5 of the General Operations Manual. The PIC serves as the final authority for all flight operations and directly supervises all other crew members. Compliance with all Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR Part 135), specifically FAR Part 135.243(b), is paramount.
The position operates on a rotating schedule, with seven consecutive days of duty followed by seven days off. Pilots are assigned a 12-hour shift (or up to the maximum allowed under Part 135 regulations when on mission) commencing from their home base and must adhere to specified call-out times to ensure timely flight departures. Shift assignments are categorized as either day or night duty and are established monthly by the Base Lead Pilot to facilitate optimal rest cycle planning. Consistent duty periods are maintained throughout each seven-day work cycle, rotating to the alternative duty period on the subsequent cycle. While changes within a seven-day cycle are discouraged, they may be necessary to meet operational demands.
This is a demanding yet fulfilling role for a dedicated professional. Only candidates meeting the stringent requirements outlined above should apply.
