Pilot in Command (PIC) - Fixed-Wing Operations

This pivotal role demands a highly skilled and experienced pilot to serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) for flights and series of flights, adhering strictly to Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Part 135 principles and procedures. The PIC holds ultimate responsibility for the safe and efficient conduct of all assigned flights, exercising operational control at Tier 2 level (as detailed in Chapter 5 of the General Operations Manual). This leadership position includes supervising all other crew members throughout the flight duration. The successful candidate must meet or exceed all minimum qualifications stipulated by FAR Part 135.243(b).

Operational Schedule:

Pilots operate on a rotating schedule, encompassing seven consecutive days of duty followed by seven days off. Duty shifts are 12 hours in duration (or up to the Part 135 maximum during operational missions), commencing from the pilot's home base. Adherence to the designated call-out time is mandatory to ensure timely flight departures. Shift assignments (day or night) are scheduled monthly by the Base Lead Pilot, allowing ample time for rest cycle planning. Pilots generally maintain the same duty period throughout their seven-day on-duty assignment, rotating to the alternate duty period in the subsequent seven-day assignment. While changes within a seven-day assignment are discouraged, they may be necessary to accommodate operational needs.
