Cabin Crew Member
An ambassador for Air Arabia, the Cabin Crew Member strives to cultivate customer loyalty and promote a positive corporate image by enhancing the overall passenger experience. He or she provides excellent customer service while ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The successful candidate must be prepared and fit to operate, ensuring productivity aligns with established metrics and company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legal compliance for assigned flights. Attends briefings to acknowledge flight details, role assignments, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
- Instructs passengers on safety protocols to ensure their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identifies safety and security risks and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
- Greets passengers and assists with boarding formalities, entering necessary data into the aircraft logbook according to Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Provides consistent, excellent customer service, attending to individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifies and supports passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to the Operations Manual and relevant instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, achieving individual and team targets.
- Ensures proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received for individual sales and donations.
- Conducts pre-flight checks to ensure adequate supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified items are available before takeoff, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before flight.
- Ensures orderly handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports as per established policies and procedures, providing objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor and reporting any flight problems or discrepancies, including closing and sealing duty-free containers.
- Reports on passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor; performs the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains professional and safety knowledge through recurrent training, emergency procedures training, and educational workshops, ensuring license validity.
- Contributes to team success by achieving related results and allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: 20 to 26 years for candidates without prior Cabin Crew experience; up to 33 years for experienced Cabin Crew.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male).
- Weight: Proportional to age and height.
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is preferred.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an asset.
- Fit to fly with good general health and no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Fluency in Arabic is preferred.
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role in the Airlines/Aviation/Hospitality industries is an advantage.
- An active cabin crew license is advantageous.
- Capable of working in shift patterns and for extended hours.
- Highly flexible and adaptable to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
