Cabin Crew
Air Arabia is seeking highly motivated and customer-focused individuals to join its cabin crew team. This role is based in Portugal, and only candidates available for assessments in Portugal will be considered.
Job Purpose:
The Cabin Crew member acts as an ambassador for Air Arabia, striving to achieve customer loyalty and promote a positive corporate image through enhancing the overall customer experience. He/She provides excellent customer service to all passengers while ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The ideal candidate is ready and fit to operate, ensuring productivity aligns with established measures and the company's adopted policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct: Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legality for assigned flights. Attends briefings to acknowledge flight details, distribution of roles, targets, and security checks.
- Safety Measures: Instructs passengers on safety procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. Identifies safety and security risks and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to take remedial action according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Administers first aid to passengers when necessary. Informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain promptly of any irregularities or malfunctions.
- Customer Service: Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities. Enters necessary data into the aircraft logbook as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures. Provides excellent customer service by attending to individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs. Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following the Operations Manual guidelines. Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the Charity Cloud program by efficiently promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, achieving individual and team targets. Ensures proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received for sales and donations.
- Crosschecking and Reports: Conducts pre-flight checks to ensure sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified equipment. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain. Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is cleaned thoroughly at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided. Ensures orderly handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff. Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any problems or discrepancies, and ensuring the closing and sealing of duty-free containers. Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and carries out the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain. Maintains professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent training, emergency procedures training, and educational workshops, ensuring current license validity. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: 20 to 33 years
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male)
- Weight: Proportional to Age and Height
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform
- Medically/Physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate required; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is preferred.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an advantage.
- Fit to fly, with good general health and no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role in the Airlines/Aviation/Hospitality industries is an advantage.
- An active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Capable of working in shift patterns and for extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
