Air Arabia Cabin Crew Position - Portugal Recruitment Drive

Job Summary

The Cabin Crew member serves as an ambassador for Air Arabia, committed to fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image. The individual will deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout the entire flight experience. They must maintain readiness and fitness to operate, adhering to company policies, procedures, and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct: Maintains punctuality, proper grooming, fitness, and legal compliance for assigned flights. Attends briefings to acknowledge flight details, role distribution, targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
  • Safety Measures: Instructs passengers on safety procedures, prioritizing their well-being. Identifies and mitigates safety and security risks in collaboration with the Cabin Supervisor, following Standard Operating Procedures. Administers first aid when necessary. Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
  • Customer Service: Greets and assists passengers with boarding formalities, entering required data into the aircraft logbook according to Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA guidelines. Provides consistent excellent service, attending to pre-bookings, requests, and individual needs. Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following company policies and the Operations Manual. Contributes to on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting meals, products, and charity services, achieving both individual and team targets. Ensures secure handling of cash and credit card payments from sales and donations.
  • Crosschecking and Reports: Performs pre-flight checks of supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other specified equipment, reporting deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain. Assists in ensuring thorough cleaning at transit stations and the provision of re-catering and duty-free products. Ensures the orderly handover/takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff. Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting flight issues, and ensuring the proper sealing of duty-free containers. Informs the Cabin Supervisor of passenger conduct. Carries out the Cabin Supervisor's duties when designated by the Captain. Maintains professional and safety knowledge through recurrent training, emergency procedure training, and workshops. Contributes to the team's success by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets.

Essential Requirements

  • Age: 20 to 33 years
  • Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male)
  • Weight: Proportional to age and height
  • Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
  • Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
  • Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate (a Diploma in Travel/Tourism is advantageous).
  • Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is a plus.
  • Fit to fly, with good general health and no serious medical or chronic conditions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Work Experience

  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Previous cabin crew or customer service experience in Airlines/Aviation/Hospitality is advantageous.
  • An active cabin crew license is an advantage.
  • Ability to work in shift patterns and extended hours.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
  • Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
