Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member serves as Air Arabia's ambassador, striving to cultivate customer loyalty and promote a positive corporate image. This role is crucial in enhancing the overall customer experience, ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the entire flight cycle. The Cabin Crew member is expected to be prepared and fit to operate efficiently, ensuring productivity aligns with established measures and company policies.
Key Result Responsibilities
Conduct:
- Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legal compliance for assigned flights.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to gain full awareness of flight details, role assignments, targets, security checks, boarding procedures, etc.
Safety Measures:
- Provides passengers with clear instructions on safety procedures, prioritizing their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
Customer Service:
- Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities, accurately logging necessary data into the aircraft logbook as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Delivers exceptional customer service to passengers by addressing their pre-booking arrangements, requests, and individual needs.
- Recognizes and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to the corresponding policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, achieving individual and team targets.
- Ensures the secure handling of cash and credit card payments received for individual sales and donations managed by the Cabin Crew member.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Conducts pre-flight checks to confirm the availability of sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified equipment prior to take-off. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations, confirming the availability of adequate re-catering and duty-free products before departure.
- Ensures orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports as per adopted policies and procedures. Provides an objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reports any problems or discrepancies encountered during the flight, and ensures the proper closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Holds the Cabin Supervisor accountable for passenger conduct and assumes the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains a high level of professional and safety knowledge and competitiveness by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, educational workshops, and by ensuring current licenses.
- Demonstrates teamwork by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: Between 20 to 33 years
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male)
- Weight: To be in proportion to Age and Height
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform
- Medically/Physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device
Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable for this role; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is a plus.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Fit to fly, with good general health, no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Language: Must be fluent in Written and Spoken English.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role in the Airlines/Aviation/ or hospitality Industries is highly valued.
- An active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Capable of working in a shift pattern and for extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Shows the ability to contribute and deliver effectively against company policies, procedures, and set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
