Cabin Crew - Air Arabia
Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member serves as Air Arabia's brand ambassador, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image. This role prioritizes enhancing the overall customer experience, providing exceptional service to all passengers while ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the complete flight cycle. The ideal candidate will be prepared and capable of operating efficiently, aligning their productivity with established measures and company-adopted policies and procedures.
Key Result Responsibilities
Conduct:
- Ensures timely attendance, adheres to proper grooming standards, maintains physical fitness, and complies with all legal requirements for assigned flights.
- Participates in pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, understand role distribution, targets, security procedures, boarding protocols, and other relevant information.
Safety Measures:
- Instructs passengers on safety procedures, prioritizing their well-being and comfort at all times.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
Customer Service:
- Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities, accurately entering necessary data into the aircraft log book as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA adopted procedures.
- Provides continuous, excellent customer service, addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following relevant policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and other instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting on-board meals, products, and charitable services, achieving individual and team targets.
- Ensures the proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received for individual sales and donations.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Conducts pre-flight checks to ensure sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified items are available before takeoff. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are available before departure.
- Ensures an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports in accordance with adopted policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any flight issues or discrepancies, and closing and sealing duty-free containers.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and fulfills the duties of "Cabin Supervisor" when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains professional and safety knowledge by participating in recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, educational workshops, and ensuring current license requirements.
- Contributes to the team effort by achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: Between 20 to 26 years for candidates without previous experience as a Cabin Crew; Up to 33 years for Experienced Cabin Crew.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male).
- Weight: To be in proportion to Age and Height.
- Appearance: Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medical Fitness: Medically/ Physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
- Swimming Ability: Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications:
- Academic: Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma in Travel/ Tourism is a plus.
- Training: First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures training are highly valued.
- Medical: Fit to fly, possesses good general health, no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Language: Fluent in Written and Spoken English.
- Preferred: Fluency in Arabic.
Work Experience:
- Fresh Graduates: Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role in the Airlines/Aviation/ or hospitality Industries is considered an added value.
- Cabin Crew License: An active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Shift Work: Capable of working in shift patterns and for extended working hours.
- Adaptability: Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Performance: Possesses the ability to contribute effectively and deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
