Cabin Crew Position at Air Arabia
Job Summary
The Cabin Crew member serves as an ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and projecting a positive corporate image by consistently enhancing the passenger experience. This role requires providing outstanding customer service to all passengers, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The incumbent must be prepared and fit to operate efficiently, aligning productivity with established metrics and company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Conduct
- Ensures punctual attendance, impeccable grooming, and fitness for assigned flights, adhering to all legal requirements. Participates in pre-flight briefings to confirm flight details, role distribution, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
Safety and Security
- Instructs passengers on essential safety procedures, guaranteeing their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers as required.
- Promptly reports any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain, as appropriate.
Customer Service Excellence
- Warmly welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities. Accurately enters required data into the aircraft log book as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA adopted procedures.
- Delivers consistently excellent customer service by addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, in line with the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting the "Charity Cloud" program through effective promotion of on-board meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team targets.
- Ensures the proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received for individual sales and donations.
Crosschecking and Reporting
- Conducts pre-flight checks to confirm the availability of sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other specified items prior to take-off. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Assists in ensuring thorough cleaning of the aircraft cabin at transit stations and verifying adequate re-catering and duty-free product provision before flights.
- Manages an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports in accordance with established policies and procedures. Provides objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reports flight-related issues or discrepancies, and manages the closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Reports passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and assumes the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains requisite professional and safety knowledge through recurrent training, emergency procedures training, educational workshops, and ensuring the validity of their license.
- Contributes to team objectives by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and goals.
Essential Requirements
- Age: Between 18 to 29 years for candidates without prior Cabin Crew experience.
- Up to 33 years for experienced Cabin Crew.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
- Weight: To be in proportion to age and height.
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is advantageous.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is considered a valuable asset.
- Must be fit to fly, possess good general health, and have no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in written and spoken English is mandatory.
- Fluency in Arabic is preferred.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries will be considered an advantage.
- An active cabin crew license is a plus.
- Ability to work a shift pattern and extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and demanding schedules.
- Proven ability to contribute to and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
