Cabin Crew Position at Air Arabia
Job Summary
The Cabin Crew member serves as an ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and projecting a positive corporate image. This role is pivotal in enhancing the overall customer experience by providing exceptional service while prioritizing passenger safety and comfort throughout every flight. Candidates are expected to be prepared and fit to operate efficiently, aligning with established productivity benchmarks and the company's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Conduct
- Ensures punctual attendance, appropriate grooming, and fitness for all assigned flights, adhering to legal requirements.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, understand role distributions, targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
Safety and Security
- Provides clear instructions to passengers regarding safety procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers as required.
- Promptly reports any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain, as appropriate.
Customer Service Excellence
- Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities, accurately entering necessary data into the aircraft log book as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Delivers consistently excellent customer service by attending to passengers' individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifies and supports passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following guidelines outlined in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing onboard revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting onboard meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team sales targets.
- Manages cash and credit card payments received for individual sales and donations with proper and secure handling.
Pre- and Post-Flight Operations
- Conducts pre-flight checks to ensure adequate supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other specified items are available before takeoff, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that sufficient re-catering and duty-free products are provisioned before flights.
- Oversees the orderly and complete handover and takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports in accordance with adopted policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations, reporting flight discrepancies, and managing duty-free container closure and sealing.
- Reports passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and assumes Cabin Supervisor duties when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains professional and safety knowledge through recurrent training, emergency procedures training, educational workshops, and ensuring license validity.
- Contributes to team objectives by accomplishing related tasks and achieving allocated sales targets.
Essential Requirements
- Age: Between 18 and 29 years for candidates without prior Cabin Crew experience. Up to 33 years for experienced Cabin Crew.
- Height: Minimum 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
- Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
- Appearance: Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Physical Fitness: Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
- Swimming: Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is advantageous.
- Certifications: Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is considered a valuable asset.
- Health: Fit to fly with good general health, free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Languages: Fluent in written and spoken English. Fluency in Arabic is preferred.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is considered an advantage.
- An active cabin crew license is beneficial.
- Ability to work in a shift pattern and for extended hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Proven ability to contribute to and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
