Job Purpose

The Cabin Crew member serves as an ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and projecting a positive corporate image through the consistent enhancement of the overall passenger experience. This role necessitates the provision of superior customer service to all passengers, ensuring their utmost safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. Candidates must be prepared and physically fit to perform duties efficiently, aligning with established productivity benchmarks and the company's adopted policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct and Professionalism:

  • Ensures punctual attendance, immaculate grooming, and fitness for duty for all assigned flights. Attends pre-flight briefings to confirm understanding of flight details, role assignments, operational targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.

Safety and Security Management:

  • Provides clear and concise instructions to passengers regarding safety procedures, ensuring their well-being and comfort at all times.
  • Identifies potential safety and security risks and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement appropriate corrective actions in adherence with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Administers first aid to passengers as required.
  • Promptly reports any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain, as appropriate.

Exceptional Customer Service:

  • Extends a warm welcome to passengers and assists with boarding formalities. Enters necessary data into the aircraft logbook in accordance with Air Arabia and relevant Civil Aviation Authority procedures.
  • Delivers consistently outstanding customer service by attending to individual passenger pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
  • Identifies and provides support to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following established policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and other pertinent instructions.
  • Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting in-flight meals, products, and charitable services, thereby achieving individual and team sales targets.
  • Ensures the secure and accurate handling of cash and credit card transactions for all sales and donations managed by the crew member.

Operational Support and Reporting:

  • Conducts pre-flight checks to confirm the availability of adequate supplies, emergency equipment, catering provisions, and other specified items prior to departure. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as necessary.
  • Assists in ensuring the thorough cleaning of the aircraft cabin at transit stations and verifies adequate re-catering and duty-free product provisions before flights.
  • Oversees the orderly and complete handover and takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
  • Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports in accordance with adopted policies and procedures. This includes providing objective evaluations, reporting flight-related issues or discrepancies, and managing the closure and sealing of duty-free containers.
  • Reports passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and assumes the duties of the 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain.
  • Maintains current professional knowledge and safety expertise by attending recurrent training, emergency procedure simulations, and educational workshops, ensuring the validity of their license.
  • Contributes to team success by accomplishing related objectives and achieving allocated sales targets and goals.

Essential Requirements

  • Age: Between 18 and 29 years for candidates with no prior experience, and a maximum of 33 years for experienced crew.
  • Minimum Height: 160 cm for female applicants, 170 cm for male applicants.
  • Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
  • Appearance: Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
  • Physical Fitness: Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
  • Swimming Ability: Capable of swimming with the assistance of a flotation device.

Qualifications and Language Proficiency

  • A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable. A diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered an advantage.
  • Prior training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is highly valued.
  • Must be medically fit to fly, possessing good general health, and free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Language: Fluency in both written and spoken English is mandatory.

Work Experience

  • Recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Previous experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries will be considered an advantage.
  • Possession of an active cabin crew license is beneficial.
  • Ability to work within a shift pattern and for extended working hours is essential.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and demanding schedules.
  • Proven ability to contribute to and successfully meet organizational policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
