Job Purpose

The Cabin Crew professional operates as the official brand ambassador for the airline, dedicated to enhancing overall customer experience, securing passenger loyalty, and promoting a positive corporate image across all operational phases. The incumbent is required to deliver exceptional customer service while rigorously ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the entire flight cycle. Success in this role demands consistent operational fitness and adherence to set productivity measures and company adopted policies and procedures.

Key Results and Responsibilities

Operational Conduct and Safety Measures

  • Ensures timely attendance, immaculate grooming standards, and continuous operational fitness and legality for all assigned flights.
  • Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to receive acknowledgment of flight details, distribution of roles, security checks, and targets.
  • Instructs passengers comprehensively on all mandatory safety procedures, thereby guaranteeing their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Administers immediate first aid to passengers whenever necessary.
  • Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any operational irregularities or equipment malfunctions.

Customer Service Excellence and Sales Contribution

  • Provides a welcoming presence to passengers, assisting efficiently with boarding formalities and logging necessary data into the aircraft log book as per regulatory procedures.
  • Delivers constant, high-quality customer service by diligently attending to individual passenger pre-bookings, specific requests, and needs.
  • Identifies and offers appropriate assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following the guidelines detailed in the Operations Manual.
  • Actively contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and supports the designated “Charity Cloud” program through the efficient promotion of meals, products, and charity services, thereby meeting individual and team sales targets.
  • Manages and ensures the proper and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments received against individual sales and donations.

Crosschecking, Reporting, and Maintenance

  • Conducts comprehensive pre-flight checks to confirm the sufficiency of supplies, emergency equipment, catering materials, and reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain.
  • Assists in ensuring the thorough cleaning of the aircraft cabin at transit stations and verifies that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are stocked before departure.
  • Ensures an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin environment to and from catering, cleaning, or maintenance staff.
  • Carries out post-flight briefing and assessment reports as per adopted policies, including objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any flight discrepancies, and securing/sealing duty-free containers.
  • Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for the conduct of passengers and is prepared to fulfill the duties of ‘Cabin Supervisor’ when designated by the Captain.
  • Maintains professional competitiveness by actively attending recurrent training, emergency procedures workshops, and ensuring the validity of all required licenses.
  • Exhibits ability to contribute positively to team goals and successfully deliver against established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Candidate Profile and Important Requirements

Mandatory Physical Requirements

  • Age: Must be between 18 to 29 years for non-experienced crew, with a maximum age of 33 years acceptable for experienced crew.
  • Minimum Height: 160 cm for female applicants; 170 cm for male applicants.
  • Weight: Must be in suitable proportion to height and age.
  • Appearance: Requires clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
  • Health: Must be certified medically and physically fit to perform all Cabin Crew duties.
  • Safety Skill: Must demonstrate the ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Possession of a Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma specializing in Travel or Tourism is highly desirable.
  • Training: Prior training certification in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is considered an added value.
  • Health Status: Must be fit to fly, possessing good general health without serious or chronic medical conditions.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.

Work Experience and Attributes

  • Applications from recent graduates are strongly encouraged.
  • Previous professional experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is considered a significant advantage.
  • Possession of an active Cabin Crew license is beneficial.
  • The candidate must be highly capable of operating in shift patterns and adapting to extended working hours.
  • Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability in response to frequent schedule changes and busy operational periods.
  • Exhibits the ability to contribute positively to team goals and successfully deliver against established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
