Role Purpose
The Cabin Crew member serves as the airline's primary brand ambassador, striving consistently to achieve high levels of customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image through enhancing the overall passenger experience. The professional incumbent provides exceptional customer service to all passengers while strictly ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the complete flight cycle. This role requires the ability to operate efficiently, maintaining high productivity in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Aviation Safety, Compliance, and Conduct
- Ensures timely attendance, impeccable grooming, physical fitness, and legal readiness for all assigned flights.
- Participates actively in the pre-flight briefing to acknowledge flight specifics, role distributions, sales targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
- Instructs passengers comprehensively on necessary safety procedures, maintaining their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identifies potential areas of safety and security risk, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement immediate remedial action aligned with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers as required.
- Informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain promptly regarding any observed irregularities or equipment malfunctions.
Exceptional Customer Experience and Sales
- Warmly welcomes and assists passengers with boarding formalities, accurately entering necessary data into the aircraft log book as per regulatory and company procedures.
- Provides constant, excellent customer service by diligently attending to pre-bookings, individual requests, and specific passenger needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, ensuring adherence to corresponding policies detailed in the Operations Manual.
- Contributes significantly to maximizing on-board revenue and the designated “Charity Cloud” program by efficiently promoting on-board meals, retail products, and charity services to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures the secure and proper handling of all cash and credit card payments received from sales and donations.
Operational Checks and Reporting
- Carries out thorough pre-flight checks to verify the sufficiency of emergency equipment, catering supplies, and other specified resources prior to take-off. Reports any deficiencies immediately to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain.
- Assists in verifying that the aircraft cabin is cleaned thoroughly at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are stocked before flight continuation.
- Ensures an orderly and complete handover or takeover of the cabin to or from catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
- Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports as per adopted policies, including the objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting flight discrepancies, and securing/sealing duty-free containers.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for the conduct of passengers and may be designated by the Captain to carry out the duties of Cabin Supervisor when required.
- Maintains professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedure workshops, and ensuring the current validity of the required cabin crew license.
- Contributes actively to team success by achieving allocated sales objectives and related operational targets.
Essential Candidate Requirements
Mandatory Physical and Licensing Criteria
- Age: Must be between 18 and 29 years for non-experienced crew. Maximum age of 33 years for experienced crew with a valid license.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm for Female candidates and 170 cm for Male candidates.
- Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height (BMI compliant).
- Appearance: Clear skin without visible marks or tattoos when wearing the official cabin crew uniform.
- Health: Medically and physically fit to perform all assigned Cabin Crew duties.
- Swimming: Must possess the ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications and Languages
- Academic: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required. A diploma in Travel or Tourism is considered advantageous.
- Training: Training certifications in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures are an added value.
- Health Status: Must be fit to fly, demonstrating good general health with no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- IT Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
Experience and Core Competencies
- Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to submit applications for this role.
- Prior experience as a Cabin Crew member or in a rigorous customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality Industries is highly valued. An active Cabin Crew license is a distinct advantage.
- The candidate must be capable of working demanding shift patterns and extended working hours.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate high flexibility and adaptability to frequent operational changes and busy schedules.
- Proven ability to contribute successfully and deliver against defined company policies, procedures, and established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
