The Cabin Crew member is recognized as a pivotal brand ambassador within the aviation sector, charged with ensuring exceptional passenger safety, security, and comfort throughout all flight operations. Key Responsibilities (KRR)
1. Flight Safety and Regulatory Compliance
- Ensures timely attendance, impeccable professional grooming, and adherence to all operational fitness and legality requirements for assigned duties.
- Actively participates in mandatory pre-flight briefings to assimilate all critical information regarding flight details, security protocols, role distribution, and set targets.
- Instructs passengers comprehensively on all requisite safety procedures, ensuring maximum safety and comfort is maintained during all flight phases.
- Proactively identifies potential safety or security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement necessary remedial actions in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers as required.
- Promptly and accurately reports any operational irregularities, malfunctions, or discrepancies to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and the Captain.
- Maintains continuous professional development, attending recurrent safety and emergency procedures training to ensure the validity and currency of required licenses.
2. Customer Service Excellence and Revenue Generation
- Delivers constant, superior customer service, professionally welcoming passengers and facilitating efficient boarding formalities.
- Attends proactively to passengers' individual needs, including pre-bookings and special requests, to enhance the overall customer experience.
- Identifies and provides sensitive assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering strictly to protocols detailed in the Operations Manual.
- Contributes significantly to maximizing on-board ancillary revenue and supporting charitable initiatives (e.g., “Charity Cloud”) by effectively promoting available meals, retail products, and donation services.
- Efficiently processes and ensures the proper, secure handling and accounting of all cash and credit card payments received from sales and donations.
3. Operational Efficiency and Reporting
- Conducts thorough pre-flight inspections to verify the sufficiency of supplies, emergency equipment, catering stock, and other specified provisions before departure. Deficiencies must be reported immediately.
- Assists in verifying the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and ensures adequate re-catering and duty-free products are replenished prior to the next sector.
- Ensures complete and orderly handover/takeover of the cabin environment to or from third-party staff (catering, cleaning, maintenance).
- Carries out required post-flight briefings and completes assessment reports, providing objective evaluations and reporting discrepancies as stipulated by adopted policies.
- Strives to meet and exceed allocated individual and team sales targets and operational objectives.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Candidate Profile
- Age Criteria: Must be between 18 and 29 years for non-experienced crew; maximum age limit of 33 years for experienced crew members.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm for Female applicants; 170 cm for Male applicants.
- Physical Condition: Weight must be in proportion to age and height. Candidates must be medically and physically fit to perform all rigorous Cabin Crew duties.
- Appearance: Requires clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the standard cabin crew uniform.
- Skills: Must demonstrate the ability to swim using a flotation device.
Academic and Language Requirements
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is the minimum acceptable academic qualification; a Diploma specialized in Travel or Tourism is considered advantageous.
- Training certification in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is highly valued.
- Must be fluent and proficient in both Written and Spoken English.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications is required.
Experience and Attributes
- Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply for this entry-level role.
- Prior experience as Cabin Crew, or extensive customer service experience within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality Industries, constitutes a significant advantage.
- Possession of an active cabin crew license is preferred.
