Job Purpose: Aviation Cabin Crew Specialist
The Cabin Crew Specialist serves as the airline's dedicated brand ambassador, committed to fostering exceptional customer loyalty and projecting a positive corporate image globally. This pivotal role is paramount in ensuring the safety, comfort, and overall superior experience of all passengers throughout every phase of the flight cycle.
The Specialist is expected to operate flights with the highest level of fitness, readiness, and adherence to established company policies, procedures, and productivity standards, thereby enhancing the overall customer journey.
Key Result Responsibilities (KRR)
Operational Conduct
- Ensures timely attendance, maintains impeccable professional grooming standards, and verifies optimal fitness and legality for all assigned flights.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to assimilate critical flight details, role assignments, security protocols, and operational targets.
Safety Measures and Emergency Response
- Provides clear and comprehensive instruction to passengers regarding critical safety procedures, ensuring passenger comfort and security at all times.
- Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial action strictly in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers essential first aid services to passengers when required.
- Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any observed irregularities or malfunctions.
Premium Customer Service
- Welcomes passengers and expertly assists with boarding formalities, including the accurate entry of necessary data into the aircraft log book as per regulatory procedures (Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA adopted procedures).
- Delivers consistent, excellent customer services by diligently attending to individual passenger pre-bookings, requests, and needs throughout the flight.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering strictly to corresponding policies and procedures detailed in the Operations Manual.
- Contributes significantly to maximizing on-board revenue and supports the “Charity Cloud” program by efficiently promoting on-board products, meals, and charity services to achieve individual and team targets.
- Ensures the proper and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments received against individual sales and donations.
Crosschecking, Logistics, and Reporting
- Carries out meticulous pre-flight checks to confirm the sufficiency of emergency equipment, catering supplies, and other specified provisions prior to takeoff, providing a report for any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are stocked before flying.
- Ensures the orderly and complete handover or takeover of the cabin to or from catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
- Executes comprehensive post-flight briefings and assessment reports as per adopted policies, including objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any flight problems or discrepancies, and closing and sealing duty-free containers.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for the conduct of passengers and carries out the duties of Cabin Supervisor when formally designated as such by the Captain.
- Maintains necessary professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedure workshops, and educational workshops, ensuring the continuous validity of the required license.
- Contributes to team effort by achieving allocated sales targets and departmental objectives.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
Important Requirements
- Age: Must be between 20 to 33 years.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm for female candidates; 170 cm for male candidates.
- Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
- Appearance: Possesses clear skin with no marks or tattoos visible whilst wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medical Fitness: Must be medically and physically fit to perform all required Cabin Crew duties.
- Safety Capability: Demonstrates the ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Academic, Training, and Language Prerequisites
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is the minimum academic requirement; a diploma in Travel or Tourism is considered advantageous.
- Training certifications in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures are an added value.
- Must be fit to fly, possessing good general health, with no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office applications is essential.
- Language: Mandatory fluency in both written and spoken English.
Work Experience and Attributes
- Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply for this dynamic role.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is highly valued.
- Possession of an active cabin crew license is a significant advantage.
