Role Purpose and Overview

The Cabin Crew member serves as the airline's brand ambassador, consistently striving to achieve customer loyalty and promote a positive corporate image. This professional is tasked with enhancing the overall passenger experience by providing exceptional customer service while rigorously ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the complete flight cycle. The candidate must maintain peak operational readiness and fitness to ensure productivity aligns with company standards, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Operational Conduct and Readiness

  • Ensures timely attendance, maintains impeccable personal grooming standards, and verifies the physical fitness and legality of self for all assigned flights.
  • Actively participates in the mandatory pre-flight briefing sessions to confirm acknowledgment of flight specifics, role distribution, security checks, boarding procedures, and sales targets.

Safety and Security Measures

  • Instructs passengers comprehensively on all requisite safety procedures, ensuring their well-being and comfort are prioritized at all times.
  • Identifies potential safety and security risks within the cabin environment and collaborates immediately with the Cabin Supervisor to initiate remedial action in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Provides prompt and effective first aid administration to passengers when necessary.
  • Reports all irregularities, technical malfunctions, or discrepancies promptly to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain, as appropriate.

Exceptional Customer Service and Revenue Generation

  • Warmly welcomes passengers and efficiently assists with boarding formalities. Accurately enters required data into the aircraft log book adhering to airline and relevant Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA/CAA) procedures.
  • Delivers consistent, outstanding customer service by proactively attending to passengers' pre-booked requests, needs, and individualized requirements.
  • Identifies and compassionately assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following established protocols detailed in the Operations Manual.
  • Contributes significantly to maximizing on-board revenue and the designated "Charity Cloud" program by professionally promoting and selling meals, products, and charity services to achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Ensures the secure and accurate handling of all cash and credit card payments received from sales and donations.

Pre-Flight Checks, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement

  • Conducts thorough pre-flight checks to verify adequate provisions of supplies, emergency equipment, catering materials, and all other specified equipment prior to departure. Reports any immediate deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain.
  • Assists in ensuring the thorough cleanliness of the aircraft cabin during transit stops and confirms adequate re-catering and duty-free products are stocked before subsequent flights.
  • Manages the orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, or maintenance staff.
  • Performs post-flight briefing and completes assessment reports according to established policies, including objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting flight discrepancies, and securing duty-free containers.
  • Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for the conduct and disposition of passengers. The professional must be prepared to carry out the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain.
  • Maintains requisite professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures workshops, and educational seminars, ensuring current licensing remains valid.
  • Contributes actively to team success by achieving allocated sales objectives and delivering related positive results against key performance indicators (KPIs).

Essential Candidate Requirements

Prospective candidates must meet the following mandatory criteria:

  • Age Limits: Between 18 to 29 years for candidates without prior Cabin Crew experience. Up to 33 years for experienced Cabin Crew professionals.
  • Height Requirements: Minimum 160 cm for females, 168 cm for males. Must demonstrate the ability to reach 212 cm on tiptoes.
  • Physical Presentation: Weight must be proportionate to age and height. Candidates must have clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the standard cabin crew uniform.
  • Medical Fitness: Must be medically and physically fit to perform all required Cabin Crew duties, maintaining good general health with no serious medical or chronic conditions.
  • Safety Skill: Must possess the basic ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.

Qualifications and Expertise

Academic and Professional Credentials

  • Education: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required. A diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered advantageous.
  • Specialized Training: Training certifications in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures are highly valued.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is expected.

Language and Communication Skills

  • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Fluency in Arabic is highly preferred and considered a significant advantage.

Work Experience and Operational Capability

  • Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Previous experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality Industries is a definite plus.
  • Possession of an active Cabin Crew license is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated capability for working extended hours and adapting to shift patterns.
  • Exhibits high flexibility and adaptability in managing frequent changes and busy flight schedules.
  • Proven ability to successfully deliver results against organizational policies, procedures, and established KPIs.
