Job Purpose: Cabin Crew
The Cabin Crew member serves as an ambassador for Air Arabia, committed to fostering customer loyalty and upholding a positive corporate image through the enhancement of the overall passenger experience. Responsibilities include delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the flight, and maintaining readiness and fitness to operate in line with productivity benchmarks and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct:
- Ensures punctual attendance, impeccable grooming, and physical fitness for assigned flights. Participates in pre-flight briefings to confirm flight details, role distribution, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
Safety Measures:
- Provides clear instructions to passengers on safety procedures, prioritizing their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers as needed.
- Promptly reports any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain as appropriate.
Customer Service:
- Warmly welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities, accurately recording necessary data in the aircraft logbook as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Delivers consistently excellent customer service by attending to passengers' pre-bookings, requests, and individual needs.
- Recognizes and assists passengers experiencing distress or difficulties, adhering to policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting the "Charity Cloud" program through effective promotion of meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures the secure and proper handling of cash and credit card payments for sales and donations managed.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Conducts thorough pre-flight checks of supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other specified items before takeoff, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain.
- Assists in ensuring the thorough cleaning of the aircraft cabin at transit stations and the availability of adequate re-catering and duty-free products before flights.
- Manages the orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
- Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports according to established policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations, reporting flight discrepancies, and managing the closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Reports passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and assumes the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when assigned by the Captain.
- Maintains professional knowledge and safety competencies through recurrent training, emergency procedure training, and educational workshops, ensuring a current license.
- Contributes to team success by achieving related results and meeting allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: Between 21 to 29 years for candidates with no prior experience; maximum 33 years for experienced crew.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm for female candidates, 170 cm for male candidates.
- Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
- Appearance: Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Physical Fitness: Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
- Swimming Proficiency: Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications:
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is considered acceptable. A diploma in Travel/Tourism is advantageous.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is a plus.
- Fit to fly status, good general health, and absence of serious medical conditions or chronic diseases are essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Language: Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous cabin crew experience or customer service roles in the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries are considered an added value.
- An active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Capability to work in a shift pattern and for extended working hours is necessary.
- High flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and demanding schedules are expected.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively and achieve targets based on company policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
