Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew Member serves as a dedicated ambassador for Air Arabia, striving to cultivate exceptional customer loyalty and project a positive corporate image. This pivotal role is responsible for delivering unparalleled customer service while ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the entire flight cycle. The incumbent maintains peak operational readiness and strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains impeccable personal presentation, punctuality, and ensures physical and legal fitness for all assigned flights.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to assimilate critical flight details, role assignments, security protocols, and operational targets.
- Delivers comprehensive safety briefings and instructions to passengers, ensuring their utmost safety and comfort throughout the journey.
- Proactively identifies and mitigates potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provides essential first aid to passengers as required.
- Promptly reports any operational irregularities or equipment malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain.
- Extends a warm welcome to passengers, assisting with boarding procedures and accurately logging essential flight data in compliance with Air Arabia and regulatory standards (GCAA/CAA).
- Delivers consistent, high-quality customer service, addressing pre-bookings, individual requests, and specific passenger needs.
- Offers sensitive and effective assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, guided by the Operations Manual and relevant directives.
- Actively contributes to maximizing ancillary revenue through the effective promotion and sale of on-board meals, products, and participation in the "Charity Cloud" program, meeting individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures meticulous and secure handling of all cash and credit card transactions for sales and donations.
- Conducts thorough pre-flight inspections of emergency equipment, catering supplies, and other specified cabin items, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain.
- Assists in overseeing cabin cleanliness, re-catering, and duty-free replenishment during transit stops.
- Manages efficient handover and takeover procedures with catering, cleaning, and maintenance personnel.
- Participates in post-flight briefings, completing assessment reports, providing objective evaluations, reporting flight discrepancies, and securing duty-free items.
- Reports on passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and assumes Cabin Supervisor duties when designated by the Captain.
- Continuously enhances professional knowledge and safety competency through recurrent training, emergency procedure drills, and maintaining a valid license.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Essential Requirements
- Age: Candidates without prior Cabin Crew experience must be between 20 and 26 years old. Experienced Cabin Crew candidates may be up to 33 years old.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm for female candidates, 168 cm for male candidates.
- Weight: Must be proportionate to height and age.
- Appearance: Possesses clear skin, free from visible marks or tattoos when in uniform.
- Fitness: Medically and physically fit to execute all Cabin Crew duties.
- Swimming: Capable of swimming with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)
- Education: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required. A diploma in Travel/Tourism is highly advantageous.
- Certifications: While not strictly mandatory, prior training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is considered a significant asset.
- Health: Demonstrates excellent general health, free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases, and certified as fit to fly.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Languages: Fluent in both written and spoken English. Proficiency in Arabic is preferred.
Work Experience
- Experience Level: Fresh graduates are actively encouraged to apply.
- Preferred Experience: Prior experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service capacity within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is a distinct advantage.
- License: Possession of an active Cabin Crew license is beneficial.
- Work Environment: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, shift-based environment, including extended working hours.
- Adaptability: Demonstrates exceptional flexibility and adaptability to frequent operational changes and demanding schedules.
- Performance: Proven capability to adhere to company policies and procedures, and to consistently meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
