Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member serves as a vital ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to cultivating customer loyalty and projecting a positive corporate image. This is achieved by consistently enhancing the overall customer experience. The role mandates providing excellent customer service to all passengers while diligently ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The successful candidate must maintain readiness and physical fitness to operate, ensuring productivity aligns with established standards and company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures punctual attendance, impeccable grooming standards, physical fitness, and legal readiness for assigned flights. Attends pre-flight briefings to confirm understanding of flight details, role assignments, safety procedures, boarding protocols, and targets.
- Instructs passengers on essential safety procedures, prioritizing their safety and comfort at all times.
- Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provides essential first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Promptly reports any irregularities or equipment malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain as appropriate.
- Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding procedures. Accurately enters necessary data into the aircraft logbook in accordance with Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA adopted procedures.
- Delivers consistently excellent customer service, attending to individual passenger pre-bookings, requests, and needs throughout the flight.
- Identifies and offers assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following the guidelines detailed in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Contributes significantly to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting the “Charity Cloud” program by effectively promoting on-board meals, retail products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures the proper and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments received from individual sales and donations.
- Conducts thorough pre-flight checks to confirm sufficient supplies, operational emergency equipment, catering provisions, and other specified equipment before departure. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as required.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is meticulously cleaned at transit stations and confirms that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are stocked before subsequent flights.
- Ensures an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
- Participates in post-flight briefings and completes assessment reports according to established policies and procedures. This includes providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any flight discrepancies or problems, and properly closing and sealing duty-free containers.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor regarding passenger conduct. Assumes the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when formally designated by the Captain.
- Maintains necessary professional and safety knowledge by actively participating in recurrent training, emergency procedures training, educational workshops, and ensuring current license validity.
- Contributes to overall team success by achieving related results and fulfilling allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
- Weight must be in proportion to age and height.
- Clear skin is required, with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Must be medically and physically fit to perform all Cabin Crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device is essential.
Qualifications
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable. A diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered advantageous.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Must meet 'Fit to Fly' medical standards, possess good general health, and have no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Language: Must be fluent in both written and spoken English.
Work Experience
- Previous experience as a Cabin Crew member in the airline industry is mandatory.
- Possession of an active Cabin Crew license is considered an advantage.
- Capability to work irregular shift patterns and for extended working hours is essential.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Exhibits the ability to contribute effectively and successfully deliver against established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
