Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew serves as a primary ambassador for the airline, dedicated to cultivating customer loyalty and upholding a positive corporate image at all times. The role involves significantly enhancing the overall passenger experience by providing exceptional customer service. A key responsibility is ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the entire flight journey. Cabin Crew members are expected to maintain operational readiness and fitness, ensuring productivity aligns with established standards and company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Readiness: Ensures punctual attendance, maintains impeccable grooming standards, verifies physical fitness, and confirms personal legal compliance for all assigned flights. Participation in pre-flight briefings is essential to review flight details, understand assigned roles, sales targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
- Passenger Safety and Security: Responsibilities include effectively instructing passengers on safety procedures to guarantee their well-being and comfort during the flight. The Cabin Crew identifies potential safety and security risks and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Administering necessary first aid to passengers is also a crucial duty. Promptly reporting any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain is mandatory.
- Exemplary Customer Service: The role involves warmly welcoming passengers and providing assistance during boarding formalities. Accurately entering necessary data into the aircraft log book according to the airline's and regulatory procedures is required. Cabin Crew consistently delivers outstanding customer service, addressing individual passenger pre-bookings, requests, and needs. Identifying and assisting passengers experiencing stress or difficulties is handled in line with established policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Commercial Duties: The Cabin Crew actively contributes to maximizing onboard revenue and supports charitable initiatives by effectively promoting onboard meals, retail products, and charity services, working towards achieving individual and team sales targets. Ensuring the proper and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments for sales and donations is paramount.
- Flight Procedures and Reporting: Conducts comprehensive pre-flight checks to confirm sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering provisions, and other specified items are available before departure, reporting any deficiencies to the appropriate personnel. During transit, assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned and adequately stocked. Maintains an orderly handover or takeover of the cabin to/from ground staff. Participates in post-flight briefings and completes assessment reports as per policy, including evaluating performance, reporting discrepancies, and managing duty-free. Reports passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and is capable of assuming Cabin Supervisor duties when designated by the Captain.
- Professional Development: Maintains required professional and safety knowledge through mandatory recurrent and emergency procedures training, other educational workshops, and ensuring the validity of their license.
- Team Collaboration: Contributes to overall team success, including achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements
- Age: Between 20 to 30 years.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male).
- Weight: To be in proportion to Age and Height.
- Appearance: Clear skin with no marks or tattoos visible when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Health & Fitness: Medically and physically fit to perform all Cabin Crew duties.
- Swimming Ability: Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)
- Academic: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is the minimum acceptable academic qualification. A diploma in Travel or Tourism is considered advantageous.
- Training: Previous training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is considered an added value.
- Health: Must be fit to fly, possess good general health, and have no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
- Languages: Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
Work Experience
- Entry Level: Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Preferred Experience: Prior experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is considered an advantage.
- Licensing: Holding an active Cabin Crew license is also an advantage.
